The Parish Council is tasked to organize, coordinate, evaluate, unify and support activities within the Parish, ensuring the extension of Christ's mission. The Council will present all members of the Parish with the opportunity to participate in the apostolic effort of bringing unity to the mission of the church through encouraging, guiding and directing parish life. Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. Finance Council meets on the third Tuesday of the month.

Policy regarding lay volunteers
The Worship Committee is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Thomas Parish.
Boys and girls from grade 4 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy. New Altar server and refresher training is held yearly.
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.
A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers on a rotation.
Volunteers who coordinate fund raising activities throughout the year.
Volunteers who care for and beautify the grounds and church.
Reader who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services.
Duties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass.
Volunteers who greet parishioners at the door before Mass, assist people to their seat if necessary, take up the collection, and hand out bulletins at the end of Mass.

All are welcome! This committee maintains the card ministry and organizes gifts for shut-ins at Christmas and Easter. Gatherings are on Thursday mornings at 9:30AM in the Rectory. For more information, please call the Rectory office or email [email protected].
First Fridays at St. Thomas after the 8:00 AM Mass, 2nd Tuesday after the 6:30 PM Mass, and Wednesday evenings after the 6:30 PM Mass at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish n Cambridge. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored as we pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance.
